Day Camp Counselor serves as a professional role model for our campers by leading through example and guiding campers through recreational activities that teach life skills, encourage healthy and safe behaviors, and create a positive camper experience. Recreational activities with campers, include but are not limited to, arts and crafts, sports, social recreation, songs, nature hikes, archery, and other games and enrichment activities.

SUMMARY
Camp Orkila's Outtrip Coordinators are the backbone of Orkila’s Teen Expedition Program and a great entry point into the Orkila Expedition Community. A Outtrip Coordinator plays a leading role in making sure that every participant who spends time in the wilderness – for a night or four weeks – has everything they need to stay safe and comfortable.
Outtrip Coordinators start and train with Orkila’s Teen Trip Leaders and will have the opportunity to take part in either the sea kayaking or sailing skills trainings. They’ll work alongside Teen Trip Leaders to support Orkila’s Expedition and LDI courses along with the overnight trips offered to every Orkila Traditional Camper. Outtrip Coordinators run the behind the scenes show, packing food, maintaining Orkila’s equipment and make sure that every trip that spends time away from Camp Orkila is successful. Outtrip Coordinators are supervised by an Assistant Director and perform other duties as assigned.

Camp’s Nurse oversees the health and safety of camp’s staff and campers at Camp Colman on the beautiful Key Peninsula in Longbranch, WA. The Nurse is responsible for the Health Center and works closely with our team of volunteer medical staff. The Nurse supervises a small team of Health Aides, oversees the dispensing of camper and staff medications and monitors the overall health and wellbeing of the entire camp community. We are hiring for a 14-passenger mini-bus driver to transport children in a youth program to and from program activities and site(s) such as Olympic National Park, North Cascades National Park and Mount Rainier National Park.
BOLD & GOLD is dedicated to inspiring courage and confidence in diverse groups of youth through outdoor adventures. As a program of the Camping & Outdoor Leadership branch of the YMCA of Greater Seattle, BOLD & GOLD offers year-round partnership programs and summer expedition experiences. Partnership programs engage with schools, non-profits, and community-based organizations to design and implement transformative outdoor experiences. The summer expedition program runs single-gender and all-gender expeditions that engage youth through front country and backcountry trips ranging in length from 5 to 15 days. BOLD & GOLD experiences take place in Mt Rainier National Park, North Cascades National Park, Olympic National Park, National Forests, Washington State Parks, and local green spaces. Activities include backpacking, rock climbing, kayaking, snowshoeing, fishing, yoga, art, music, and literature. The goal of BOLD & GOLD is to increase confidence, courage, emotional intelligence, wonder, and community awareness in our participants. BOLD & GOLD believes these traits are the foundations of leadership and works to inspire participants to develop their own leadership style. BOLD & GOLD prepares young people to be the next generation of leaders through multicultural experiential education in the natural world.

SUMMARY
The Media Team works together to photograph and record the day-to-day life of Summer Camp and produce weekly content. Basic job functions include updating camp's media sites (Smugmug, Instagram, etc.), and taking cabin photos at the beginning of each session. Previous experience with video and photo equipment is required and a strong interest in photography and/or videography is encouraged. Media Coordinators are supervised by the Media Director and perform other duties as assigned.

Our kitchen staff take part in trainings with other members of the program teams and will get training in their department and their specific kitchen position. They’ll work alongside the full-time kitchen team to help with food prep, dishwashing and maintaining overall cleanliness of the kitchen. This is a crucial role in providing delicious and healthy camp meals in a highly organized manner. All members of the kitchen team will be supervised by the Food Services Director and perform other duties as assigned.

Hiring Range: $24.00-$26.40/hour
Salary Range: $24.00-$34.80/hour
