Job Summary
Provides culturally competent, and strength-based peer support to families to decrease crisis, increase in-home stabilization, and assist families in decreasing negative contact with law enforcement and the juvenile justice system. Identifies natural supports and coaches parent/caregiver skills to effectively navigate community resources to meet priority needs. Provides services in client homes, schools or other convenient community locations. The goals of Parent Partner Peer Support include identifying parenting resources and supports, coaching parents/caregivers to effectively and peacefully resolve conflict in the home, and assist in navigating systems that impact family, such as the educational system, mental health, substance use, or juvenile justice. Collaborates effectively with co-workers, supervisors, outside professionals and others involved in delivering care to meet safety plan needs and action plan goals. This may include collaborating with law enforcement with the goal of reducing harm to youth and family. Supports the family and acts as a bridge between the youth, family and system representatives. Willing to self-identify as a parent. Because of life experience, such persons have expertise that professional training cannot replicate.

The On-Call Direct Care Staff position is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team providing 24-hour shift supervision for youth and young adults, ages 16-18, in an Adolescent Transitional Living Program. The South King County Youth Shelter is a 24/7 group home for youth ages 12-17, for up to 21 days, who are homeless or at imminent risk of homeless that have been self-referred, referred by a provider, community member, street outreach team, or law enforcement. SKYS staff and case mangers work with youth to increase stabilization, transition youth to safe and stable housing, and work towards family reunification whenever possible.

Hiring Range: $24.00 – 26.40/hr
Compensation Range: $24.00 – 34.80/hr
Grade 12 Hiring Range: $20/hr. - $22/hr.
*This is an On-site, Part-Time Position. Listed below are possible shift options.
Monday-Thursday 4pm-8pm
Saturday 8:30pm-3p

Job Summary
Instruct a variety of sports, recreation, wellness and enrichment programs for youth. Create a safe, enjoyable, positive and inclusive environment that welcomes participants of all skill and ability levels. Provide a quality experience to participants and families.
