The Director of Philanthropy, Camp and Outdoor Leadership leads the development and execution of the YMCA of Greater Seattle Camp and Outdoor Leadership’s continued philanthropic growth through expanded donor cultivation and stewardship, alumni engagement, annual gifts, and grant opportunities. Execution of year-round fundraising and philanthropic efforts, aligning with the YMCA of Greater Seattle efforts as appropriate, including but not limited to the following elements: Annual Fund Drive, Major Gifts ($5,000+), foundation solicitation, current and new grant opportunities, ensure donor recognition and facilitate meaningful stewardship. Responsibilities include working with a portfolio of individuals to acquire, cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts of $5,000 or higher. Responsible for working with volunteers on a comprehensive and aggressive campaign plan that will maximize capital, major giving and planned giving opportunities. Climbing instructors may also lead other programming for BOLD & GOLD, including backpacking, hiking, and paddling.    Wilderness Instructor - Climbing will be responsible for setting up routes, teaching climbing skills, and ensuring the emotional and physical safety of participants during their programs.   About BOLD & GOLD The BOLD (Boys Outdoor Leadership Development) & GOLD (Girls Outdoor Leadership Development) Program is dedicated to inspiring courage and confidence in diverse groups middle and high school aged participants through outdoor adventures. We engage over 500 youth on outdoor experiences ranging in length from 5 to 15 days in places like the North Cascades, Mt Rainier, and Olympic National Park. Activities include backpacking, rock climbing, mountaineering, fishing, yoga, art, music, literature, backcountry cooking, and having fun in nature.   Our goal is to increase confidence, courage, emotional intelligence, wonder, and community awareness in participants. We believe these traits are the foundations of leadership and work to inspire participants to develop their own leadership style. This position will serve on an engaging and dynamic team, playing a key role in ensuring planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum are provided to the participants. You will oversee the planning and implementation of a safe and quality child care program providing day-to-day support and overall management of the program site. You will supervise and evaluate the staff and volunteers, including hiring and training, maintaining required staff/child ratios and conducting regular staff meetings. You will be an important part of helping maintain professional relationships with families, facility/school personnel, and the community. This position is a regular on going positon that works within our youth enrichment programs throughout the year, in our before and after school programs during the school year and within one of our summer camps during the summer.   Job Sites Include:  Maywood Hills Elementary ( 19510 104th Ave NE, Bothell, WA 98011 ) Or Fernwood Elementary  (3933 Jewell Rd, Bothell, WA 98012).     Position Type/Location This is an in-person, Full-Time role. Shifts are a combination of AM programming (7am to 9am) and afternoon programming (2pm to 6pm M-F, with Wednesday starting at 1pm).
