These positions will be responsible for supervising staff, budget and contract oversight. The first one will be overseeing our Arcadia programs which include: drop-in, shelter and permanent supportive housing. The second program will be focusing on some of our under 18 youth programs including host homes, Youth Engagement team, and CSEC supportive services. Each Program Director II is responsible for assessing and evaluating all programs and services provided by Social Impact Center YMCA. They will report to the Executive Director and work  to identify what is working, what is not, and to create a culture of learning in pursuit of our mission of accelerating young people’s ability to build safe, successful and happy lives. Program Directors will foster a spirit of services integration and continuous improvement in service to our young adult and family participants, within the Social Impact Center’s breadth of services, across the Y of Greater Seattle and among our partner agencies and funders in King County. These positions are at the Social Impact Center Y, the social services branch of YMCA of Greater Seattle (YGS). The mission of the Social Impact Center Y is to accelerate young people’s ability to build safe, successful, and happy lives. Every year, we serve 5,000 children, youth, young adults, and families across King County with programs that aim to strengthen young people’s ability to develop to their fullest potential through four strategies: reducing risk factors; navigating systems towards successful life transition; ensuring stability, safety and wellness in times of crisis; and building competencies and social capital. The Social Impact Center Y’s programs include housing, behavioral health, foster care licensing, violence prevention, education, and employment. Many of the young people we serve have had involvement in the foster care, criminal justice system, and/or homelessness systems.   The YMCA of Greater Seattle is committed to providing a positive atmosphere that prioritizes safety and inclusivity for all employees. The YMCA of Greater Seattle has implemented safety standards and protocols related to preventative health measures based on CDC and local health department guidelines.   YGS will comply with all WA State mandates regarding COVID vaccinations. All YGS staff in Child Care roles will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID by October 18, 2021. This position works primarily out of our Auburn office and supports the daily operations of clinical staff throughout the Y’s 14 branches. The Admin III Records/Billing Specialist often serves as a first point of contact for anyone engaging with the behavioral health and chemical dependency programs. This position is responsible for the maintenance, storage and processing of all medical records and EHR data. This involves performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the management and oversight of a program's medical records including, but not limited to: assembling, analysis, release of information, data processing, collection, reconciliation and preparation of reports in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal and regulatory requirements of a mental health care system. The social media/communications editor will be encouraged to pitch ideas and take initiative to propose solutions in the face of challenges. This position will seek out underreported stories that assist readers in becoming well-informed and empowered community members with autonomy. This position will be expected to possess strong news judgment, a sound ability to write clean copy on deadline, practice AP-style copy editing, and the ability to cut through the noise. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player who is creative, proactive, collaborative, flexible, takes direction, meets deadlines, anticipates problems by offering solutions, has a passion for nonprofits and for serving diverse communities. An ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of ethics and news judgment and be comfortable working with senior leadership, program leaders and YGS staff from around the organization to strengthen our storytelling across all platforms. The ability to think in non-literal edits, conceptualize complex content, and articulate both to readers is essential. The role is part production, part creative, and part experimental lab and we’re looking for an ambitious self-starter who will help us innovate and push the storytelling envelope. In addition to daily tasks, communications staff are encouraged to pitch ideas and take initiative to propose solutions in the face of challenges.
