Stabilizes the initial crisis, provides intensive support and links the family to ongoing formal and informal support systems. This position ensures children and families in King County are supported through and out of crisis situations safely and with minimal disruption to their lives. Children and families leave the program stabilized with new skills, awareness of their strengths, and stronger systems of support. This position is at the Social Impact Center Y, the social services branch of YMCA of Greater Seattle (YGS). The mission of the Social Impact Center Y is to accelerate young people’s ability to build safe, successful, and happy lives. Every year, we serve 5,000 children, youth, young adults, and families across King County with programs that aim to strengthen young people’s ability to develop to their fullest potential through four strategies: reducing risk factors; navigating systems towards successful life transition; ensuring stability, safety and wellness in times of crisis; and building competencies and social capital. The Social Impact Center Y’s programs include housing, behavioral health, foster care licensing, violence prevention, education, and employment. Many of the young people we serve have had involvement in the foster care, criminal justice system, and/or homelessness systems. Position Type/Location This position will work with families throughout King County full-time Monday-Friday evenings to meet participant needs. Child and Family Intervention Specialist within this program work with the entire family to provide support managing challenging behavior, assisting in building communication skills, increasing safety and structure within the home.    Child and Family Intervention Specialist works directly with families to identify strengths, instill hope and help families develop resiliency. Clinicians who enjoy thinking creatively and working in the community are highly encouraged to apply. The Waterfront Director provides direct supervision and oversight to overall operation of waterfront area at Camp Colman on the beautiful Key Peninsula in Longbranch, WA. This includs activities, scheduling, supervision of lifeguard counselors, and equipment inspection and upkeep. The Village Teen Programs Leader coordinates and supervises overall operation of the Leadership Development Institute program for teen leaders in training at at Camp Colman on the beautiful Key Peninsula in Longbranch, WA. Duties include program design, planning, and implementation of 2 week leadership training program for teens entering 10-11 grade in the fall. The Health Care Director is responsible for the Health Center and works closely with our team of volunteer medical staff. The Health Care Director supervises a small team of Health Aides, oversees the dispensing of camper and staff medications and monitors the overall health and wellbeing of the entire camp community. Applicants with nursing or health care experience preferred.
