    Job Summary

    Responsible for the delivery of high quality programming and recreation experiences for all weekend guests. 

     

    Responsibilities

    1. Responsible for maintaining and properly storing all program equipment.
    2. Responsible for inventorying all program equipment and reporting needs to supervisor in a timely manner.
    3. Provides excellent customer service to all guests by interacting in a positive manner utilizing good communication and problem-solving skills.
    4. Responsible for helping with meal program, including announcements, serving, monitoring and clean up.
    5. Responsible for helping with guest check-in, check out and camp clean up after guest departure.
    6. Responsible for meeting with supervisor, Weekend Director and other staff to establish program schedules.
    7. Responsible for maintaining positive working relationships with all staff and volunteers. 
    8. Maintains relevant American Camping Association standards.
    9. Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.
    10. Responsible for performing other job related tasks as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    1. 19+ years
    2. Some college preferred
    3. 1+ years working in a camp setting
    4. 1+ years working with large groups
    5. Proven Customer service experience
    6. Ability to participate in activities that involve rigorous physical activity in an outdoor setting.
    7. Ability to speak a language in addition to English may be helpful
