    Job Summary

    The Photographer works to photograph and record the day to day life of Camp Colman through pictures and/or video

    Responsibilities

    1. Photographs camp community on a daily basis, including groups of campers, staff, camp activities, and anything relevant and appropriate to document the essence and spirit of daily life at Camp Colman.
    2. Uploads photographs daily to camp’s media sites.
    3. Creates weekly slideshow with pictures and video from each session.
    4. Maintains safety and cleanliness standards. Takes special note of individual camper health needs or concerns on a daily basis. Shares cleaning duties with fellow staff.
    5. Communicates personal or camper needs to Program Director in a timely manner.
    6. Maintains equipment in sound and safe order.
    7. Attends staff meetings and trainings.
    8. Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.
    9. Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    1. 19 years of age or older.
    2. Current state approved first aid certification.
    3. Current state approved CPR certification.
    4. One or more years of college preferred.
    5. Current Wilderness First Responder strongly preferred. Documented knowledge of challenge courses and current safety standards and practices.
    6. Demonstrate working knowledge of belaying, rappelling, knots, and rescue techniques.
    7. Ability to participate in activities that involve rigorous physical activity in an outdoor setting.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS IF THE POSITION REQUIRES DRIVING

    • Minimum 21 years old
    • Current Driver’s License with a minimum of 3 years safe driving experience and a driving record which meets or exceeds YMCA standards.
    • Maximum of one minor violation.
