Who are we?
At the Seattle Y, we are an inclusive organization of people with a shared commitment to nurture the potential of youth, promote healthy living and foster social responsibility.
At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. We work side-by-side with our neighbors throughout King and south Snohomish counties to help kids and families thrive – and apply their positive behaviors and goals at home, school, the workplace and beyond.
Where you’ll work…
We have partnered with the Auburn School District in order to work with families that are dealing with homelessness which gives our staff the opportunity to create a welcoming, active, and fun environment – which they might not be getting otherwise. Our Fit + Fun Before School Program at the Auburn Valley YMCA allows all K – 5 students in the Auburn School District an opportunity for fun and engaging activities before the bell rings.
We maintain lower staff-to-participant ratios in order to give more attention and care to children who will benefit from a stable and caring environment, and exposure to positive role models. Ongoing support and training on working with trauma-impacted children is provided.
As the Assistant Program Supervisor of the Fit and Fun Before School Program, you will plan and implement activities and act as the lead onsite when the Program Director is not present. This position will serve on an engaging and dynamic team, playing a key role in ensuring planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum are provided to the participants. This position is a regular ongoing positon that works within our youth enrichment programs throughout the school year.
