Thank you for your interest in Camp Orkila's Teen Trip Leader Position!

      Teen Expedition Blog

Apply now to join the Orkila Expedition Community as a Teen Trip Leader. We offer teens the opportunity to embark on sea kayaking, sailing and bike touring trips and are currently looking for outstanding leaders to guide our teen participants on one week and multi-week adventures.

Orkila specializes in two types of expedition experiences. The first is our LDI Program courses. We offer two and three week LDI courses that combine wilderness travel with time spent at Orkila to take advantage of youth work experiences, time spent on a challenge course and service projects at Orkila and in the Orcas Island Community. Our pure expedition courses send teens out into the San Juan Islands for one, two and four weeks of adventure, peer to peer leadership and skill development. Trip leaders will often get the opportunity to lead both types of courses in a typical summer spent working at Camp Orkila.

Candidates interested in applying for the Teen Trip Leader position must also submit an outdoor resume or logbook to Jordan Bright (jbright@seattleymca.org). A blank logbook can be downloaded HERE.

Please note that if you are interested in multiple positions with Camp Orkila this summer it is only necessary to apply to one posting. We will be happy to consider you for all open positions during the interview process.
