More about the position:
Team Inclusion is responsible for supporting the Mental, Emotional and Social Health (MESH) needs both campers and staff, with the aim of helping everyone to feel safe, happy and comfortable at camp.
Inclusion Specialists are a presence in all areas of camp and will work with campers and staff of all ages, documenting incidents, communicating with parents and guardians and coaching staff to work with campers with additional needs. Inclusion Specialists perform other duties as assigned.
Team Inclusion consists of 3-4 Inclusion Specialists and is overseen by an Assistant Director. The team also receives clinical supervision from a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and WA State Supervisor. Supervision hours are available – please inquire about this during interview.
Significant work experience* or education in social work, mental health counseling or related fields is required. We acknowledge that not everyone has the opportunity to access formal education. Life experience is valued as much as educational background and lack of education should not be a barrier to joining our community.
