The Seattle Y is looking for a responsible leader who is excited by the prospect of developing and leading one of our youth development programs, as Program Supervisor.

You’ll be based out of one of our 13 branches that offers programs ranging from health and wellness, to family programs, to child care, to aquatics (access is a staff benefit - swim a few laps before work, take a yoga class, do some laps on the track before you go home if you like!).

What you’ll be doing…
This position will serve on an engaging and dynamic team, playing a key role in ensuring planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum are provided to the participants. You will oversee the planning and implementation of a safe and quality program, providing day-to-day support and overall management of the program site, maintaining participant records, developing promotional materials, assisting in monitoring program supplies and department budget, and coordinating transportation needs. You will supervise and evaluate the staff and volunteers, including hiring and training, maintaining required staff/child ratios, and conducting regular staff meetings. You will be an important part of helping maintain professional relationships with families, facility/school personnel, and the community.

You can strike a balance between completing administrative tasks and helping others to learn and succeed. You have the ability to oversee a group of children to ensure their health and safety needs are met while continuously providing a positive, enriching experience for each participant. You have an eye for quality programming and know how to provide support and a sense of belonging to others in order to generate a program that is successful and enriching for all involved.
