    Our Marketing and Communications team works in the heart of Downtown Seattle, in a historic building that has housed the YMCA since the 1930s.  Not only does our building house our Association Office (corporate headquarters), but it's also home to some of our unique social service programs AND a membership facility (access is a staff benefit - swim a few laps before work, take a yoga class at lunch, do some laps on the track before you go home, if you like!).

    Responsibilities

    What you’ll be doing…

    We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is ready to be a part of a talented and creative marketing team. As one of our Program Marketing Managers you will develop and manage campaigns in order to acquire new members/participants for our organization. You will help lead the marketing strategy owning the development, execution and implementation including timeliness, quality and accuracy of campaign execution and its results.

You are someone excited to create program marketing strategies across multiple types of media, with experience working on high profile innovative marketing campaigns. You possess the ability to communicate clearly to keep daily output in step with the larger vision for campaigns and events.

     

    PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

    • Directs the planning and activities for assigned program area as prioritized by the Senior Director.
    • Lead cross-functional weekly meetings with program subject matter experts (SMEs) across the YMCA of Greater Seattle to maintain positive and productive relationships between the marketing department and YMCA branch staff.
    • Participate in program area work groups to gain a greater understanding of those programs and to manage implementation of marketing campaigns.
    • Review Power BI and other data sources (and at times participating in creating those data sources) to review trends and make recommendations on marketing efforts as needed.
    • Develop success metrics and review branch activities and program initiatives and make recommendations for improvement if needed. Build and provide monthly dashboard to Execs and SMEs and facilitate post campaign learning and insight information sharing.
    • Lead discussion of the creative process with clients and team members to achieve the desired end result of projects.
    • Ensure initiatives launch on a timely basis.
    • Understand the unique tone and voice of the YMCA for your assigned program area and be able to translate it into effective marketing materials for one of the four program areas.
    • Collaborate with Creative team for execution when needed, ensuring projects are completed per timeline and per stated objectives.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    You should have:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field or equivalent education or experience.
    2. Minimum 3 years of work experience developing marketing plans.
    3. Demonstrated experience/results in working with writers, project managers, clients and senior leaders in the successful development of marketing communications materials.
    4. Previous management experience (with external marketing vendors and/or in-house staff)
    5. Comfort and ability to lead trainings in YMCA program subject matter area.
    6. Ability to self-direct, prioritize and work independently on assigned tasks.
    7. Outstanding written, presentation and verbal communications skills with proven ability to make data tell a story and drive strategic decision-making.
    8. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
    9. Comfortable working in fluid environments.
    10. Comfortable working in a PC environment.
