    Our office is in the heart of Downtown Seattle, in a historic building that has housed the YMCA since the 1930s.  Not only does our building house our Association Office (corporate headquarters), but it's also home to some of our unique social service programs AND a membership facility (access is a staff benefit - swim a few laps before work, take a yoga class at lunch, do some laps on the track before you go home, if you like!).  The Seattle Y offers a competitive pay range and excellent benefit package including YMCA membership, health, dental, life and disability insurance; tuition assistance; 12% retirement contribution, as eligible.

    What you'll be doing... 

    We have an awesome opportunity for the essential position of Administrative Coordinator.  In this role, you will provide administrative support to a branch or department. You will be a key player in executing work and implementing office workflow.


    You will:

    • Complete daily, detail-oriented data entry of programs and activities in the organization's preferred database (ACTIVE Net).
    • Assists staff and member/donors with general YMCA inquiries regarding member or staff related issues.
    • Provides excellent customer service and facilitates the resolution of member/donor issues, questions and complaints that frequently require analysis of situations to determine the best course of action and use of resources. Focuses on problem resolution and member/donor satisfaction, experience and retention.
    • Supports Association-wide centralization efforts administratively. Ensures system records are up-to-date and accurate.
    • Performs necessary database management and maintenance (ACTIVE Net) including audits, account clean up, and program maintenance.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Previous data entry experience preferred.  You are always stepping up to offer support at the first sign it's needed.  You are comfortable using databases, Outlook, Word, and Excel, and are eager to learn new tips and tricks to improve your skills, and have an interest in and aptitude for learning new programs.  You're equally at home answering phone calls and emails as you are managing projects and data.



    You should have:

    • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree preferred.
    • Two or more years of experience in an administrative support/date entry position.
    • Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite. Intermediate experience with Excel preferred.
    • Strong skills attention to details, accuracy and proofing information.
    • Knowledge of standard office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers and phone systems.
    • Strong customer service skills, responding to multiple questions via phone, email and in person.
    • Strong written and verbal skills.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
