    Where you’ll work…

The early learning programs at the Greater Seattle YMCA are based out of one of our 13 branches that offers programs ranging from health and wellness, to family programs, to child care, to aquatics (access is a staff benefit - swim a few laps before work, take a yoga class, do some laps on the track before you go home if you like!).  The location for the early learning programs are typically located in a facility off-site from the branch in the local community that the branch serves.

    Responsibilities

    What you’ll be doing…

Every day hundreds of children are welcomed into our fun and engaging YMCA early learning child care programs. Be part of an amazing team of staff who provide a learning environment for children in which they feel secure, comfortable, and important. You will be a part of providing a nurturing child-centered environment through enrichment and activities while also supporting the children as they grow and learn. Child care is more than a safe place it is a place where our team strives to create an environment that allows children to reach their fullest potential. You will be responsible for the development of activities and all classroom plans, while also providing support and guidance to staff or volunteers overseeing activities and children.

    Who are you?

If you're the right candidate for the job, you are excited to spend your time impacting the lives of children.  You thrive on the energy of children and are ready to jump in and lead activities.  You are always looking for ways to offer support.  You are comfortable with individual youth and groups of children, can talk to and partner with parents and other adults, and have an interest in and aptitude for learning new ways to work with kids. You have an eye for quality programming and can build a sense of belonging with the groups you work with.
