GENERAL FUNCTION

Maintains grounds of building, including lawns, landscaping, and other areas.

Responsibilities

  1. Mows and cares for lawns. Maintains landscaping and other areas of grounds.
  2. Operates weed-eater. Trims shrubs.
  3. Maintains and cares for equipment, including lawnmower and weed-eater.
  4. May sweep parking lots and other areas.
  5. Reports problems with grounds.
  6. May perform various duties such as arranging for debris removal.

Qualifications

  1. One year or more of related experience preferred.
  2. Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties.
  3. Ability to use equipment and chemicals in prescribed manner, including ability to read labels, MSDS information sheets, and instructions.
  4. Ability to stay alert to potential safety and security problems.
  5. Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.). Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
