The Seattle Y has an opening for the critical position of Sr. Recruiter.  This position will contribute to the success of the YMCA of Greater Seattle by recruiting diverse and qualified candidate pools for current and future organizational needs. 

Responsibilities

Under direction from the HR Director for Talent Acquisition, the responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

  • Developing and implementing innovative sourcing and recruiting strategies to meet the current and future talent needs of the Seattle Y.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on sourcing resources, new and creative recruiting techniques, labor market and industry trends, and competitor information in order to ensure our sourcing efforts and recruiting practices are successful, cost‐effective, and competitive.
  • Coaching and consulting hiring managers to ensure their understanding of recruitment and candidate assessment/interview practices and applicable regulations and ensuring that we are hiring engaged staff that support our mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Qualifying candidates in relation to position requirements, as well as provide candidates with detailed information on our organization, compensation package, business strategies, position details, position expectations and mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Establishing recruitment goals and objectives to align with the overall organization business strategies.
  • Leveraging data to evaluate the effectiveness of current programs and process and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Partnering with other members of HR on special projects, as needed.

Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
  • HR Certification preferred
  • A minimum of 3  years experience with candidate sourcing and full lifecycle recruiting
  • Experience recruiting entry level and professional level positions.
  • Experience working on high volume positions and complex professional and leadership positions
  • Advanced internet researching and sourcing proficiency, including Boolean search strings
  • Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be very computer and web savvy to utilize professional and social networking media, manage internal SharePoint site, and use applicant tracking system

Where you'll work:

Our HR team works in the heart of Downtown Seattle, in a historic building that has housed the YMCA since the 1930s.  Not only does our building house our Association Office (corporate headquarters), but it's also home to some of our unique social service programs AND a membership facility (access is a staff benefit - swim a few laps before work, take a yoga class at lunch, do some laps on the track before you go home, if you like!).
