Where you’ll work…
You’ll be based out of one off the 13 branches that offers programs ranging from health and wellness, to family programs, to child care, to aquatics (access is a staff benefit - swim a few laps before work, take a yoga class, do some laps on the track before you go home, if you like!). Specifically the Seattle Y offers Programs throughout the greater Seattle area. The programs are located in Seattle Schools using classrooms, multipurpose rooms, gyms, outdoor spaces and take several field trips throughout the summer.

What you’ll be doing…
As the Instructional Coach for YMCA Power Scholars Summer Learning Program, you will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of hands on, engaging curriculum for academic and enrichment classes. The Instructional Coach trains and supports lead and assistant teachers who deliver math and literacy classes, allowing for leveled, small group instruction. You will work with a team of educators and YMCA staff to determine the academic and enrichment focus of your classes. You will also be responsible for analyzing student data to meet the individual needs of students.
You will be a key leader in this Summer Learning program for 120 youth entering grades 3-8
