Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making within the organization. Responsible for a diverse range of financial activities, this position involves synthesizing complex data, conducting in-depth analysis, and providing actionable insights to support key stakeholders. By leveraging advanced financial modeling techniques, the Senior Financial Analyst contributes to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Hiring Range: $87,360.00 - $96,096.00 

Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

  • Develop and manage financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and communicate insights to management for decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and variance analyses for stakeholders.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget vs. actual performance, investigate variances, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Continuously improve budgeting and forecasting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data through reconciliation and review procedures.
  • Communicate financial results and key metrics to stakeholders, including senior management and external parties.

Cost Analysis and Management:

  • Analyze cost drivers and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Support decision-making related to pricing, program/service profitability, and resource allocation.
  • Implement cost control measures and monitor their effectiveness over time.

Financial Modeling and Analysis:

  • Build complex financial models to evaluate business scenarios, investment opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to assess risks and uncertainties.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.

Capital Budgeting:

  • Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and investment opportunities through financial modeling and discounted cash flow analysis for specific capital projects and capital expenditures.

Business Partnering and Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business units by providing financial insights, analysis, and support of business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive performance improvement initiatives and achieve business objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and collaboration.

Ad hoc Analysis and Special Projects:

  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to address specific business questions or challenges.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects such as process improvements, system implementations, or strategic initiatives.
  • Provide support to management for presentations, meetings, and other strategic activities as needed.

Code of Conduct for Applicants

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
  • Eight years’ experience in financial analysis, accounting, or management consulting.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, ideally within a corporate finance or FP&A environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial systems (e.g., ERP, BI tools) preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present findings to senior management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality in all financial activities.

PREFERRED POSITION ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS

  • M.B.A. degree or CPA certification.
  • Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.).
  • Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
